Hi everyone,

I've been asked by a fellow board member to provide you all with a short note concerning my wife, Mary Ann, and the ongoing war. Mary Ann left on 7 March to join the USNS Comfort in the Persian Gulf. For those of you (I know it's really many of you, since we just became acquainted with the Assoc. late last year) that haven't met her, Mary Ann's a Navy Nurse, normally running the ICU/CCU at Bethesda.

I've had the chance to speak to her several times since she left, and she's doing fine, though busy and understandably tired. Being apart from her, though hard, is tempered by my knowledge that she is doing something she truly believes in, and that she would not want to be left behind with the ship forward. I'm so very proud of her...

I suspect among our members there are likely many with family and friends deployed forward, and I share with all of you my prayers for their safe and speedy return.

Take care my friends, and fair winds..

Bill
