Jay,

I think the small steel plates you refer to are the shims. They go on top of 
the rubber as I recall. There are different thicknesses and they are used to 
align the engine vertically.

My Atomic 4 is being re-installed, two years after it was taken out. I can't 
recall the order of assembly of the engine mounts. Is it: 1st > rubber pads, 
2nd > small steel plates, 3rd > engine? -or do the steel plates go first?
