[Alberg30] Anyone own a Mast Mate?

i own one and, yes, it works.....i got it because i generally singlehand and wanted to be able to get up the mast without assistance.  like a lot of sailing gear, it seems overpriced and i've subsequently seen "captain al's" mast ladders (same idea) sell on ebay for around $100 (ouch), but they don't show up for sale too often.  i've also heard that you can fabricate one yourself for about $100 and with a good sewing machine it would seem to be a very do-able project.     vinegar joe
