Bill,

I've owned one for a few years, and like it. It works as advertised, does not take up much storage space, and is strong. The webbing is 6000# test. I've spent as much as half an hour aloft with it comfortably. To do that it is important to position the Mast Mate height so that the two side-by-side steps at the top of the unit are located just below the work area of the mast.

Does anyone own or have experience with this product? I'm considering buying one already (I just put the mast up 2 weeks ago and I already need to go aloft!) One person recommended it to me but I've never seen it in person. Expensive, but there is no way that Tracy could winch me up in a bosun's chair. http://mastmate.com/
