I looked up the "Bermuda Triangle" or Jamaican Triangle that I mentioned
yesterday. It is described in Chapmans as the best way to defend your
boat in a hurricaine. It is found at the end of the section on moorings. I
suggest a combination of anchors & moorings depending on your location &
the Bottom Conditions. I am keeping My 2 boats on a protected creek where
the wind will get them to an extent but the waves won't. As for the surge
-- better off on a mooring than at a dock. Yes there are issues with bolw
by boats but that is one that must be dealt with at the time. In hte last
hurricaine here,Floyd, my boat Infinity rode out the storm nicely on the
mooring. But we shall see ???
