The donut type will fit in that space, I did it one year. The down side is
that the water flow over the cutlass bearing is reduced and may cause
increased wear. The fresh water tank is approx. 30 gallons on #114.

Tait Tait is in dry storage in the Bahamas.When hauled I saw the shaft zinc
was in dire need of replacement.The zinc is of the type with an embedded nut
as shown in the A30 maintenance section under mispics item 119.These are
just not available in the Abacos. Can a donut type be fitted on the A30
shaft? Also I would like to know the capacity of the freshwater tank in the
V berth of a liner model A30 Peter Amos Tait Tait 478
