[Public-list] Propane Locker

Michael,

You might be right. I have a much smarter than me scientist neighbor
looking into suction created by moving underwater shapes. Who knows what
will come of that. It did occur to me, however, that a similar solution
might work at other end of the boat. The rhode locker could be modified
with an air tight raised floor that slopes to drain holes in either side of
the hull. With the bow going up and down so much (even while healed),
perhaps there will be sufficient time with the leeward drain hole out of the
water to get adequate drainage without relying on that elusive underwater
suction.

Of course, to gain access to the gas bottles would require an air tight door
at the bulkhead forward of the V berth or the addition of a deck hatch (and
sealing the bulkhead opening) . The advantage of the latter is the same
space could function as an anchor locker or a private cabin for your (small)
hired captain.
