Patty,

When sawing teak where a mask, the dust shouldn't be inhaled. The scarf
joint can be difficult, look on line for some guidance it is much stronger
than a butt joint.

Thanks to everyone with the teak purchase numbers.  My toe rail was
completely replaced by the PO about 4 years ago and I don't have a clue what
kind of teak he used other than it is beautiful!  I remember him telling me
though that he replaced the bolts with screws, I could be wrong.  Wish my
ding dong camera was working!  Oh, and also I look forward to doing the
scarfing as one of you mentioned, it really looks pretty.
