Why not unscrew the cutlass bearing housing on the backside of the keel and 
screw a bronze cap over the stern tube. That way the shaft can be 
re-installed at a later date if need be. Otherwise, I would remove 
everything and glass over the hole from inside and out.

	I've no longer a need for an inboard - so that leaves me with
what to do about the shaft.  My thought is to leave it in - IF leaving
it in ain't gonna sink the boat.

	Or how do you take it out and plug the hole? It all seems simple
enough - but none my first time projects end-up that way.
