[Public-list] exhaust exit

Richard,

I have seen the exhaust exit on either side depending on the boat. In
general, I would say that the older boats exit on starboard while the later
boats the exhaust exited on port (mine exists to port). You are absolutely
correct about the extra piece of pipe extending from thru-hull to keep the
hot exhaust and stains off the hull. That was added later, and you could
probably remove that small piece of pipe and put it on the other side which
might be easier that re-routing the bilge pump and exhaust hoses. It doesn't
really matter which side is exhaust and which side is bilge pump.
