[Public-list] good cell phone provider for boaters?

Brian,

Service in the CB area is spotty for all the carriers. We have Verizon 
(switched from Sprint for the same reasons as you) and their service, while 
not perfect, is much better. Unfortunately, they are not yet carrying a 
bluetooth phone although they are rumored to be coming out with a Motorola 
bluetooth at the end of June. ATT, Cingular and T-Mobile all have bluetooth 
phones, but I don't know what their coverage is like. You might ask them to 
borrow a phone for a day to test them out.
