[Public-list] Diesel Coolant Type(with apologies to the A4)

I apologize for bringing this question to the A-30 board, but after getting 
somewhat vague answers from the Yanmar board, I know I can count on you all... 
I have a Yanmar 3GM30F in my boat, and was recently told that I am making a 
huge mistake in using PG (green) anti freeze in the engine, as it will rot out 
the heat exchanger tubes, and that I must immediately flush the system (several 
times) and replace it with "extended" life coolants.  Now, I don't have a 
problem with changing coolant types, but is all of this true?  Will the increased 
silica content in the green AF wreck my engine???
