[Public-list] Lexan or Acrylic ?

Bill,

That's interesting. Do you thing that's actually a 30? The forward part
of the cabin doesn't step down and the lights are much different. Nice
though.

Not a bad idea for the cradle either. The advantage of placing it
further aft is that it gives something to hang onto when it gets rough.
The other advantage is that I thought I'd run a cover between the dodger
and the cradle as a makeshift bimini.

Thanks,

James you might want to check out the Alberg 30's that are current
listed
for sale on www.Yachtworld. One of them has pictures of a cradle mounted
on
the back end of the cabin.

Roger,

I'd be interested if you don't mind. I would like smoked lexan
instead of clear and would need to know the shipping charges to
Middletown,
NY. That's about 70 miles north of NYC.

Also, has anyone ever made a cradle for the boom? Before I try
to
come up with a workable design I'd like to hear from other Albergers who
may
have already built one or decided against it.

Thanks,

This summer I had a local glass company make new port lights with 1/4"
lexan
(I did clear but it also comes in colored tints) using the old ones as a
template. He did all eight for about $110 plus 7% tax. I would be
happy to
ask him to make more if anyone is interested.
