Rich,

Jim Mennucci here.....if you still have the one-banger? ...you know this
will be the second transmission...
anyway, assuming you do.... here are the steps:
-remove the bolts from the coupling--i think i went thru the access hole
to do it but you can also go over the top of the engine with the electrical
panel swug out of the way.
-remove the bolts on the top of the top of the soft mounts
-disconnect the fuel line, and electrical connections, controls
-attach the boom vang to the boom over the companionway and to the eye
on top of the cylinder head. You can tell from the way its lifting when
your lifting as best you can. You can't lift straight up but you can lift
and push. Lift the engine up and swing it into and set it on the cabin
sole. From there you can do whatever you want...either work on it in the
boat or take it home. When I changed the transmission I did it with working
on it inside the boat. When I changed the alternator I took it home and
worked on it.

Give me a call if you want to talk about it.

Jim
