I have a relatively new (Forespar I think) telescoping whisker pole but
no spinnaker pole (actually I have one, but it is ancient and barely
useable).  If anyone has a decent modern spinnaker pole, I'd be willing
to trade the whisker pole for it.  I am in the Annapolis area.

Thanks for the advice.I have a spinnaker pole (but no spinnaker)and I
find it heavy and awkward to set up on a jib.I have been reading Hal
Roth and he mentions using 2.5 inch bamboo for his whisker pole which is
much lighter,but I have no idea where to obtain bamboo.Maybe I will
continue with the spinnaker pole but try to work out a procedure to make
it easier to set up Pete TaitTait #478

Hello gang - 

I am heading for Newport for the Woodenboat Mag boat show this coming
weekend - and will be there again doing the "normal" boat show in Sept.

If any of you will be around I would very much like to meet you.  (I
have developed mental pictures of what you each look like... No doubt I
will be surprised not to see grizzled beards, mermaid tattoos, pipes,
salt stained watch caps, missing limbs, etc.
