[Public-list] Whisker pole

Thanks for the advice.I have a spinnaker pole (but no spinnaker)and I find it heavy and awkward to set up on a jib.I have been reading Hal Roth and he mentions using 2.5 inch bamboo for his whisker pole which is much lighter,but I have no idea where to obtain bamboo.Maybe I will continue with the spinnaker pole but try to work out a procedure to make it easier to set up
