[Public-list] Whisker pole

Pete it is cheaper all the way around to simply purchase a forespar
whisker pole from apsltd or Fawcetts or Bacons than to go through the
headache of making it yourself.
1. the metal is already anodized
2. has the ends which cost $$$ if sold separately
3. the sum total for the tubing + parts not including labor is more than
the cost of buying one from one of these guys.

So if you are not in annapolis, try contacting the store
www.baconsails.com who is oft known for their used consignment but also
retails used and new hardware. They sell at a very good rate those poles.
Also decide if you are ordering a whisker pole, for the jib, or a
spinnaker pole for both. I suggest a spinnaker pole with the 2.5"
diameter.
Bacons has the A30 measurements on file and would be able to order on for
you. YOu can also contact APS (Annapolis Performance sailing) at their
website or checkout Fawcetts or finally westmarine or one ofthose shops.
