Glenn,

It may be less money to hire a diver who knows sailboats. They can check the
fittings under water and provide a good idea if something is loose/worn.

Subject: [Public-list] rudder vibrations

Hi all,

We recently purchased a 'Dolce' 1968 A-30 lying Puget Sound. During
haul out the rudder assrembly seemed solidly mounted ( I did not pull
grundgeons (sp??!!) or th shoe unfortunately, but while underway, gives
off a significant, very rymthemic vibration. Of course the harder the
boat is sailing, particularily off the wind the vibration becomes much
more noticable-- ie real shaking up through the tiller.

I am getting ready to haul the boat again and take a look for something
broken or worn, but would appreciate any feedback more expericenced
A-30 sailors might be able to provide.

thanks much,

Glenn Brooks
