It sounds to me like it is time for you to remove the entire floor. I would 
do this in the least destructive manner and try to save the pieces to create 
patterns. I guess the real question s what to use as a replacement flooring 
system. What is the old one? Is it a combination of plywood and teack and 
holly?

Well we have been racing Infinity #57 a good bit the past few years and
the Cabin Sole has been the brunt of much foot traffic. Hence there are
now failures in the sole particularly at the battery access holes. It
seems the wood is rotting out and the screws are pulling through.
Additionally the tongue n groove wood is now coming apart & breaking as it
does. so... what have folks done to re-lay the sole?
