I knew I should have kept that damn Central Wire steel book! : )

I remember reading about how one of the stainless grades (I thought 
316) was more susceptible to corrosion in an oxygen deficient 
atmosphere...I knew one was stronger, but wasn't sure which!

I worked with metallurgists years ago for a valve manufacturing company 
and later for GE Aircraft, where we worked with Rene 95, and all kinds 
of exotic stainless and titanium.  At the valve company we worked with 
304, 316, 316L, monel, iconel and hastelloy B and C.  That was many 
years ago, so my memory may be a bit foggy: )
