[Public-list] A30 upgrade stuff

I, too, have gone to Andersen 40 ST 2 speed and they allow anyone with
whatever ails on the wrists or shoulders to bring in our 170 under any
circumstances. I find they are much more gentle on sheets than Harken's,
(and the rest of the boat is Harken for hardware). I agree with Richard that
they are more $ but well worth it. Bolt pattern was the same as those I
removed so no extra holes needed to be drilled! As an aside,  for other
upgrades, I have gone to 6:1 on the mainsheet and 10:1 on the outhaul for
greater ease for old folks who may have occasional visits from Arthur (
Arthrititis,  that is) to trim that sail too. Contact me off list if you
