Dave

All I remember is that it was a hard job.

Yes, you were one of several who wrote on this topic. I think I found
all the plugs - there were 4 more than one of the reports in the manual.
I must be at the "wedged in place" part of the process and have not yet
figured out how to unwedge it. Do you have any recollection on
"unwedging"? I know it is a long time ago. Thanks for your response. it
does give me a new way to think about the problem.

Dave,

Did I write that article for the maintenace manual? I did this job many

years ago so I could replace the top to my water tank and it was not
easy. I
had to look closely at the wood to look for wood plugs that had screws

buried underneath the plugs. Even with everything removed the pieces
were
wedged in place. I took the 'furniture' out as a single unit. I recall
that
it was like a chinese puzzel trying to move the piece enmasse out to
the
main cabin. I don't know how to help you.

I am still having trouble getting the "furniture" in the v-berth loose
enough to move it to the anchor locker. Here is what I have found

4 rivets both port and starbord at the floor level.

2 screws port and starboard near the main bulkead located about even
with the v-berth level.

2 screws port and starboard near at the level ofthe v-berth located in
the wood cross piece that supports wood on top of which the v-berth
cushions lie. Sorry if that is not clear enough.

This makes 16 attachment points - 4 more than the maintenance manual
indicates. My questions for those who have done this repair is - could
there be more attachment points? Or have I found them all?

There still is a sticking point on the port side at the floor level.

Thanks for any help that can be rendered on smoking this out as JA
would say.
