[Public-list] Full Batten Main Questions

I've seen a couple mentions of full (or partially full) battened mains
on the list recently and have a couple questions (because we will
probably look at new sails before too long).

1.	Are full battens class legal for one design Alberg 30 racing?
and

2.	Is there any consensus among the fast boats in the class as to
whether non-full battened sails suffer any speed disadvantage?

All things being equal, I would prefer to stick with short battens (yes,
I'm already a curmudgeon at 32, and no, I'm not trying to start a
firestorm over the relative durability and sail handling benefits of
either), however a noticeable racing disadvantage might overcome my
predisposition for a traditional sail.
