I have a 20# CQR with 20 feet of chain, about 200 feet of rode and a Lofrans electric windlass. This arrangement works for me.

Having spent 24 years in your location, Cape Cod, Marthas Vineyard,
Nantucket, I have always used a 45 lb. Danforth with five feet
of chain attached to two hundred feet of line. The amount of line being
determined by the conditions, i.e. dept and mooring location.
