[Public-list] Fuel tank

Bob,

This tank is in my boat hull #505. The tank is in the Starboard sail locker
but due to the position on the fill neck on the tank I had to install a new
deck fitting. The distance between the underside of the deck and the top of
the tank is a aboyut 2", so the fill hose is ver, very short and I had to
cut off a part of the tank fill neck and the deck fitting fill neck to make
it wor. I t has been is use for over 20 years and still is in fine shape.

Hi George,

I would like to know more about the fuel tank installation.
According to the link you provided it looks like it is installed to
starboard. Since you cannot see the filler hose as well suggests that it is
using the existing filler fitting on the Starboard side.

The tank appears to be aluminum.
Was it a custom built tank?
It looks like a slick installation.
I looks like it could be easily removed to service the tank if needed

You can see a couple photos of the tank in Gilleleje at
http://alberg30.org/maintenance/disorganized/fueltank/ It's not glassed
into place, though.
