John:

I'm fully aware of Canadian and Ontario boating laws including the need
to have both a head and galley to indulge in my favorite beverage. The
one that I find amusing is the need to have an operators permit to run
my dinghy with its 3.3 hp engine but no operator permit required to
sail the Alberg (I know it is a anti-PWC regulation).

However, in this neck-of-the-woods you rarely encounter a Canadian
Coast Guard or OPP vessel and there are no RMP!
