Ok, it's 9 on Wednesday, as a practical matter, there is plenty of time

25 units total.  The manufacturer has cut our per-unit price to $64
each, doesn't sound like he can cut too much more off it, regardless of
the quantity (says he hand-turns them out of expensive Delrin).  The
good news is that he has offered to honor this $64 price for Albergers
who don't participate in this group purchase but want one in the future
(although you would need to foot the entire $12 shipping).

The manufacturer doesn't want to make 25 of just the wrong size, what we
have decided to do is have two made and shipped right away, Lanny Helms
and I are both going to replace them in very short order (hopefully
within the next two weeks) so we will be able to confirm sizing, etc. on
one older boat (152) and one newer boat (562) (if anyone else needs one
right away, let me know and I'll see about having another one put in the
'test' shipment).

The sheaves are $64 each, the shipping will be somewhere a bit north of
$12 for the whole lot (higher than the original $12 due to the increased
weight of a large order), and the re-shipping via priority mail will be
$4.20 each (for US addresses) plus any box cost (I will check tomorrow,
I believe the USPS priority boxes are free).  For anyone in Annapolis
willing to pick it up from me the cost will be $65, for anyone requiring
re-shipping from Annapolis, final cost will be $70.00 (unless I have to
purchase boxes, if so I will send another email to the list tomorrow).
When the sheaves arrive, I'll re-box them and re-ship.  Anything left
over (obviously not a lot) will be used to purchase beverages for the
re-shipping party.  Any locals who want to get in on the re-shipping
party (I've had one offer already, thanks, will take you up on it) shoot
me an email.

What I would like to do, as I cannot front the entire $1,600.00, is to
have anyone who wants a sheave (or sheaves) send a check to me for the
appropriate amount ($65 or $70) payable to Zephyr Werks, once I have all
the checks I will send them to the manufacturer in a single batch.  I
need one check payable to me so I can net out the re-shipping costs, but
I'll deal with one of you individually for that.  By the time I have all
the checks we should know if they fit, or if they require adjustment,
and will place the final order accordingly.
