[Public-list] Maximum Roach in Mainsail

I'd suggest that you go for a bit of roach but ask the sailmaker to make the
sail somewhat flatter than he might otherwise do it.  That way you can have
a flat sail you can de-power for beating and close reaching... But still
have the area for running and broad reaching.

I am getting near purchasing a main this winter... That is what I am going
to do.

I am also going to ask them to make the main a grade heavier than the
standard - mains take a beating and money put into heavier cloth is well
worth it.  In Albergs you really slow down when the main stretches out as it
ages.
