[Public-list] Sail Cover

I started using a fabric protector (it might have been Scotch Guard) two
years ago on my well-aged sail cover. Since the primary aging factor is
sunlight, I don't think it will help that much extending the life. It
does help make it a bit more waterproof and easier to clean. We had a
flock of geese hanging out on Rinn Duin last summer and I think the
Scotch Guard made it easier to clean their residue of the sail cover.

Did I read somewhere that you can spray the sail cover with scotch guard
spray to extend its life. Has anyone done that??
