You are right - we are joking - we prefer all bronze too - I have tried 
Marelon and returned several with broken handles.

I know you're joking, but I just replaced five of my
through-hull/seacocks (filled in two) with all bronze, and, combined
with the fiberglass (pre-formed grp-board) backing blocks, that was one
HEAVY box of parts.  I like bronze, so I don't mind (and as a parts
person saw one too many Forespar Marlelon seacock come back with a
broken handle), but still, you can always use more freeboard for
stores, water, etc.
