What's the collected wisdom on grounding plates? We don't have one. We use auto jumper cables clamped to the back stay and forestay, leading into the water in lightning storms. I've read all sorts of stuff on the subject and rarely found two sources in agreement. Mark Bisset, Wanderlove K578
