[Public-list] 10hp Diesel?

I have the yanmar GM2 ~13/14 hp. I do not know where you live, but in the Chesapeake last year, I took an awfully long time to get through the narrows at the mouth of the magothy with the current and the wind both strong against me. It occurred to me that if I lived in a place with real currents, I would have been spending the night some other place than the Magothy.

I would go up a size or two.

I have recently purchased an A30 that does not have an inboard engine. There is a 10hp Volvo deisel for sale in my area. Any comments on wether or not 10 horses is enough?
