Oop, you've added another option ;-)  No, kidding.  Seriously, thanks 
for the info, and I understand what you mean.  The question I had was 
about the more "typical" crossed drain hoses that people put onto their 
well-below-the-waterline-and-closer-to-the-cockpit-scuppers crossed 
hoses.  Like for example if you had a set-up like the A-30 but with 
less room for hose between the scuppers and the through-hulls just 
beneath them; in that situation I've heard of people crossing the hoses 
and I could never visualize how a cockpit with water in it when you're 
well heeled would drain, because in my visualization, the hose that was 
low in the cockpit would now lead nearly straight "up" to the opposing 
through-hull.

Not that I have to worry about that now, as it's not something even 
remotely on my radar (crossing the hoses to the OEM through-hulls).  
But I was curious.
