[Public-list] re; Algrip vs Alcraft

Just catching up, been vary busy prepping my hull.
While getting info from Downing aircraft and marine paint supply, the  
manager known for painting boats talked me out of Algrip and suggested 
Alcraft,same manufacturer. Algrip is a polymere and Alcraft is a acrylic. 
You can buff out runs with Alcraft and later repairs are to be easy.
This year my second time repainting a A hull ,first an A22 now an A30 , 
first time with US paints? job ok?
This time the manager will paint by spray after I prep for $500 ,after all 
the hard work prepping I want a really good job.
Last time I used West epoxy for repairs ,but this time the Downing sales man 
suggested using ALFARE and I say it kicks fast but is much easier to 
mix,apply and sand.

As for the boot stripe I am going with the original scribed lines in the 
original gel coat. Which does get thinner at the beam.

I been taking lots of photos and hope to do something with them later.
