[Public-List] furling New Main Sail

Hi Gord,

Picture 2 of 8 on my web space has a good shot of the two ply leach on 
Sunstone http://sunstone-web.spaces.live.com/

Warning to CPC supporters though, my blogs are none too kind to our 
honourable PM & his Govt. So if yer a conservative ye might not like it one 
bit ; )

On things pelagic though, which is what really matters, the main is a 
phenomenal sail, it has very little shelf (like the originals did) and is 
fairly flat as are the head sails which are cut to account for some greater 
headstay sag which occurs on Albergs. Although we have a backstay adjuster, 
I don't like cranking the beejesus out of it as all it does after a while is 
bend the boat. Better to cut the sails to accommodate some sag for better 
pointing. I'll leave it to the Cuppers to put 30,000lb of tension on - we 
like our boat too much
