Thank you George,I have a 12" already so I will stay with that,cannot 
remember offhand what the pitch is.I found longtitudinal cracks in the shaft 
where it goes through the cutless bearing last time I replaced the bearing.I 
think the boat had been in the water for a long time without moving
when I bought it and the cracks may be crevisse? corrosion
