Greetings,

   The Universal diesel (28 hp) is now made by Westerbeke: see their
website.

  Mine is several years old with about 700 hrs.  Works fine, is billed as a
replacement for the Atomic 4 gas engines (same size).

   Be darn sure to learn how to bleed the fuel system (not that hard)-- this
was what I got messed up on in the beginning as a new diesel owner.  Keep
the 2 fuel filters clean and know how to bleed the fuel system.

    The engine is reliable, but not perfect.  I had to replace the ignition
solenoid at about 500 hrs, which was an odd, unexpected event that occurred
at an inconvenient time.  But hey, you never know....
