[Public-List] reef line diameter

Anyone have an opinion (how about that for a start?)... for the  
optimum diameter for reef lines for an A30?  Also, my topping lift is  
attached to my boom, even while under sail.  Its convenient, but over  
time it would seem that there's good potential for chafing the sail.   
Does anyone have an alternative setup?
