Finally in one place long enough to catch up on e-mail.
Sorry we missed you in Beaufort N.C.  We were off the boat a lot looking for engine parts.
  I know we will be passing through there again just not sure when at this point. Our engine is now definitely dead and we are looking at our options for getting the boat back to Halifax in the spring.
    We have to go back and work for a while again to buy a new Engine. We are leaning towards one of the Beta conversions.  Wish we could go electric but not enough range to travel the ICW.
 Two things we learned this year -  
  October is too late to leave Halifax.
  The solid fuel fireplace is OK for extending the season, but for what we are doing we are going to go to a forced air diesel furnace.

    Next time we are going to leave early September so we can stop on the Chesapeake again. We have great memories of the 2005 trip.
