[Public-List] rub rail

Has anyone added a rub rail to their boat? If so, what did you use and how did you install it?

I am having the topsides painted this winter that think it wise to protect my investment with a rubrail. I know traditional boats sometimes (often) have them and want to see if this is an option for  our boat.
