[Public-List] Lazy jacks

RE Lazy Jacks, I always thought sails could be furled/controlled by pulling
the luff aft opposite the mast slides at the leach when the sail is down. I
experimented on my Rhodes 19 by putting grommets in the leach and making a
bridle of different length bungee chords that attached to the grommets once
the sail was doused. It worked but wasn't much easier than flaking the
sail.

William Stevenson of St. Michaels seems to have had an even better idea that
he patented. It looks pretty slick. Here is the link at the US Patent
Office;

If it doesn't work, try Goggling "US Patent Office" and search for patent
number 4,864,952.

Hi All.

I'd like to install Lazy Jacks on my A30. Does anyone have any advice to
offer?

Thanks
