I'm sure someone would probably end up vacuum bagging a set of pre-preg
carbon spacers, hollow down the center for weight savings.

Just for the record, I did end up putting my 'ornamental' inboard tracks
back down with beautiful teak spacers that I will dutifully replace when
they splinter and wear out with another set of beautiful teak spacers.
I am a glutton for punishment.
