Given this, and since the pendants are fastened at both ends, the worst that should happen is that the three pendants would twist around a common axis if the boat and mooring chain were to rotate at different rates or in opposite directions.  This would somewhat shorten the scope of the pendants but the tugging of the boat against them would probably cause them to unwind again.
