[Public-List] advice onn sheeting

The issue seems to be (1) pointing ability and (2) chafe. From your
description, if chafe is acceptable, the decision is easy: sheet
inboard, and slack off as needed (pun intended :).

Getting that last 1 or two degrees into the wind in heavy conditions
pretty much depends on you sailing preferences, the cut of your main and
how hard you work at trimming it. If the main is cut full (or blown out)
or you ease off the mainsheet to keep the boat on her feet, having the
main back winded by a fully trimmed genoa pretty much defeats the
purpose of inboard sheeting; you might as well lead the sheet outboard.
That gives you more options adjusting the sail's leech (more fore and
aft adjustment on the jenny track than the jib track)also. It's
interesting that the 110% jenny trims OK on the jib track.
