Michael,

This stuff looks great. If you are talking with them I thought of a couple of questions...1. Since this is an epoxy coating, does it also serve as a barrier coat? 2. After 10 years, what is the process and how hard is it to re-apply, do you have to take all of the old stuff off?

I have some bottom jobs to do and spoke with the USA rep for this product. I am thinking on being the Alberg 30 crash dummy for this product, a joke I believe that it has promise.

Supposedly one can haul out and resplash without any diminish in the anti foul effectiveness. This system is purported to last ten years plus before repaint is necessary.

> My boat bottom currently has VC-17 on it. This is a fresh water boat and the bottom is reasonably smooth. The coppercoat system needs to go over the original gelcoat or an Epoxy barrier coat system. The cost for VC-17 is about $65.00 a quart and the Copper Coat is $100.00 a Litre, boat show price. Nomally $125.00/Litre. The VC-17 system needs to be recoated just prior to resplash each season, whereas the coppercoat system apparently does not.
