I was thinking of mentioning that.

One thing we learned during the recent troubles in the US is that our  
banking system, which we sometimes complain is too stodgy, is along  
with our health care, a jewel of our citizenship.

Of course that's all steering a bit close to the wind with regard to  
politics on our friendly list....
