Sometime, drop me an e-mail off the list about keeping your boat on Taylor's 
Creek.  I have thought of doing this for a medium-length period of time 
(couple months sort of thing) for a change of scenery.  I have a vague 
knowledge of the North Carolina laws about moorings but they seem to be 
aimed at moorings near private property, not sure how they would apply where 
one side of the creek is public land.  Also not familiar to Beaufort's town 
requirements, I am sure the property tax thing rear's its head at aleast (I 
pay taxes in Craven County, Beaufort is in Carteret).  Curious about 
hardware too.
