Gord,

If I understand correctly, the sheet goes past (aft) to your block and
then back forward to the winch?

That may be why my boat came with cheek blocks at the stern. I thought
they were for spinnaker sheets.

Aft of my winch I don't have a stanchion base, just the stern pushpit
and that does not have a base like the regular stanchions.
