Add yet another layer and require connection covers over the posts in the strapped down battery boxes under the sole (as has been suggested to me by the CG Aux).

I never understood the need for battery boxes when the batteries are under the 
cabin sole (basically in a box) and strapped down. Why does one need a plastic 
box too?
