[Public-List] Apres-#400 ice boxes

Hi Gord,

I have a Norcold front opening fridge that I want to insulate as well but
the compressor is on the back so I have to leave that open. I was thinking
putting rigid insulation around the sides, top & bottom (w/ enough clearance
to slide it in and out) and then filling cavities outboard of that w/ foam
insulation. Although not the same as your project I have learned that some
of the rigid and foam insulations (as opposed to fiberglass, which has about
1/2 the insulating power) can be highly flammable and give off toxic gas
when they burn so, good idea to check the flame spread and, if high, make
sure no chance of sparks or open flame getting near the stuff.

Best,

Roger 148
